Day 4 #OctPoWriMo #Poetry

Day 4 of OctPoWriMo brings us the idea of magic and mysticism. The prompt words are: Fantastic, Magic, Mystical. I decided to try out a new poetry form, new for me at least: the Shadorma. I have see. It used a lot recently and having a form that is very similar to haiku and tanka, both of which I enjoy, I thought I’d give it a go.

The ideas that came to me thinking on these words were the new possibilities of each new day.

Everyday we are given a blank canvas with which to work. How we use it, what we choose to apply to it are our choices alone. Yesterday has forever left us and tomorrow may never come; make something fantastic with today.

“Look here, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we are going to a certain town and will stay there a year. We will do business there and make a profit.” How do you know what your life will be like tomorrow? Your life is like the morning fog—it’s here a little while, then it’s gone.”

‭‭James 4:13-14 NLT

      1. I did enjoy writing the Shadora poem. I’m going to try it again, I’m sure. I’ve always liked doing Haiku, and this one give just a little more to work with in the line count!
