Day by Day #BeWoW

Somewhere this past week I stumbled upon an unattributed quote that I really related to. I thought I’d do a little digging to see if I could find out who had said this and found quite a bit of information.

“The greatest act of faith some days is to simply get up and face another day.”- Amy Gatliff

Not only did I find the name of the speaker but I also learned she is an author and found her website, too.

Each of us have seasons in our lives when we struggle. Some folks, those with chronic diseases, illnesses, injuries, etcetera, have extra long seasons to endure. For any of us going through one of those times it truly can be a huge deal – a great act of faith – just to go onto the next day. But as with the seasons of nature, our season of trial will come to an end at some point. We just have to, as an old friend of mine says, “keep on keepin’ on” until that brighter time arrives.

  1. This is one of my fave quotes, has been for years. Hey Brother, could you do some fervent praying for me–Dr visit was not encouraging; however, God has blessed me with “word of Faith” preacher, Joseph Prince. I’m glad I listened to him before I left for my appt–as it was a repeat teaching on the part where Zerubabel (sp?) says we are to “Speak ‘Grace, Grace’ to your mountain and it will become a plain”. I trust God to take care of me, I’m in the palm of His hand–but I’m just feeling a little shaky after my appt. Thanks mucho–as always I pray for you and your family, abundant blessings of provision and well-being.
